Each bead is made from paper by women in the Horn of Africa. They use colored paper that they measure, cut, roll, and varnish to make a beautiful, unique, bead. Once the beads are dry, they are used to assemble and make jewelry, creating a one-of-a-kind gift for you and your loved ones!

Your purchase helps provide sustainable income to over 12 women in the Horn of Africa and USA, which directly impacts over 150 individuals in the artisans' families and communities. Some of the artisans are the only people working in their homes with an average household of 11 people. With this income the women are doing amazing things! Becasue all of the women artisans in the Horn of Africa did not get the privelage to attend school after grade school, several of them are investing their money into the education of their younger siblings, allowing them the privelage they were not afforded. Otheres have built toilets for their homes, upgraded their homes to have covered roofs, and replaced walls made of plywood with stronger cement walls.
